While at Georgetown, Cecily helped produce an award-winning documentary about an innocent man behind bars, was a teaching assistant for the school’s infamous “Making an Exoneree” course, founded the Georgetown University Prison Divestment Committee, and interned for several political campaigns. She also provided college counseling to students at underserved D.C. high schools, wrote articles for The Hoya, and edited Momolu Stewart’s memoir. After graduating magna cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa, Cecily was a research fellow at The Frederick Douglass Project for Justice and a Post-Conviction Paralegal at the Innocence Project. She is currently pursuing her J.D. at Harvard Law School, where she is also a member of the Harvard Defenders, a legal service organization that represents low-income people for free. In her spare time, Cecily enjoys playing volleyball, biking, and making ceramics.
